The Sophia Research Days are a yearly symposium devoted to research performed in the Sophia Children’s Hospital. The Sophia Research Days offer a unique opportunity for everyone involved in research to share their research results, broaden their networks and learn from experienced researchers within as well as outside their field of expertise.
On Thursday April 13th 2023, the 10th edition of the annual Sophia Research Day will take place. This event will take place in Theatre Zuidplein in Rotterdam and this year’s theme is: "Trigger your talents".

WORKSHOP CONFLICT RESOLUTION, FINDING A WIN/WIN WAY, BY ROB VAN DER LOO (MEERKAT)
In our work, the quality of our relationships matters. And dealing with conflicts in a constructive way is extremely important for building and maintaining good relationships. Because you cannot prevent conflicts from occurring (though some of you might try that), they do. Finding your way there is challenging. This workshop will provide you with insight into your strengths and weaknesses in dealing with conflict as well as tools and techniques to work toward more win-win solutions.
Preparation: +/- 1 hour; instructions will follow.

This year's Sophia Research Days are all about exploring your talents. This year's Sophia Research Days will revolve around the theme 'Trigger Your Talents'. By working together and sharing experiences, the greatest things are possible. In this year's programme we will bring in keynote speakers, provide workshops and most importantly: provide a platform for you to share your experiences!

The Sophia Research Days offer an unique opportunity for young researchers affiliated with this theme to share their research results, broaden their networks, and learn from experienced researchers within as well as outside their field of expertise.
The departments of Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgery, Clinical Genetics, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry/Psychology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Gynaecological Oncology, Urology, Department of Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatology work closely together to research current topics within the Sophia Children's Hospital. As one of its priorities of the Sophia is to improve health care through research, all affiliated departments are involved in extensive research in their own fields. Therefore, the Sophia Research Days, in which all these departments participate, is a great opportunity to share the most recent, important and innovative research results!
The Sophia Researchers Board (SOV) represents all PhD students affiliated with the Sophia Children's Hospital and organizes numerous academic and social activities. Research is a key task of the Erasmus MC. Therefore, the SOV aims to optimize development and communication between the PhD students, both in the scientific and social domains.
The Sophia Research Day is organized by 8 young researchers affiliated with various departments within the theme of Sophia. Under the supervision of the Sophia Research Committee, the following young researchers from the dedicated committee to make Sophia Research Day 2023 a great success.
